Important notes on epoxy / Arledite:

Please notice that you should not use the "5 minute type", nor any other "quick type" epoxy. The reason is that those types are not waterproof, and loose their strength after some time. Select a slow drying type epoxy instead, as this eliminates the problem. Any 10 -> 24 hr. type is perfect, although it makes construction time longer. Mix in a bit of silica thickener to hold it in place until fully cured. Mix it to the consistency of toothpaste and you will have a great, waterproof mix. (I got this advice from one of the leading figures in the model sub business.)

I can recommend the "West System" epoxy with resin 105 and hardener 206, but surely there is a world of other products that will do the trick, Loctite has several products, just to mention another big player on this marked.

Though possible, it is not recommended to use polyester. It is cheaper, but that's about the only advantage there is. It smells up the entire house in no time, and it is highly hazardous to your health unless you use protective breathing equipment.
